The research inventory service aims at collecting information on national and regional research structures, research actors and research policies in all EU Member States and the states associated to the Community’s research framework programmes.  The majority of activities under this service concern the implementation of the Research Inventory itself, however a number of other specific contracts of a more exploratory nature have sought to examine the extension of the service geographically or thematically.
