The specific objective of this programme is understood as "analysing information concerning activities and impacts of Member States activities with regard to strategic governance of R&D related policies".

More concretely:

• To develop a typology of strategic governance of R&D related policies;
• To classify the EU Member States according to the types defined as part of the typology;
• To select and analyse three case-studies, representative of the types of strategic governance identified, focusing on “good practices” of strategic governance;
• To analyse the results of the case studies and draw conclusions for the further development of the typology;
• To assess the typology developed and the indicators used for identifying limitations and opportunities to systematising strategic governance.
