Nikos Maroulis has senior practical experience in science, technology and innovation policy. His expertise covers planning and evaluation of policy interventions, foresight exercises, development of innovation and R infrastructures, development of indicators, priority setting, project management and implementation of studies and research - including statistical analysis - on technology and research specialisation, innovation capacity, regional and national innovation systems. He has worked as project manager with multinational and interdisciplinary teams for the European Commission, the Greek Government and Regional Authorities in Greece and abroad. He has also been involved in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Structural Funds' projects.
