Description

Triple Helix Research Group bvba is a Belgium-based consultancy firm specialised in innovation research and policy analysis, with a particular focus on national and regional RDI systems and policies; Triple Helix interactions and the entrepreneurial university, technology transfer, entrepreneurship and commercialisation of academic research; gender in science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The company founder and CEO, Dr. Marina Ranga is a Faculty Research Fellow at Stanford University's Clayman Institute for Gender Research. She is also Visiting Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University New York, and Visiting Fellow at Sussex University, School of Business, Management and Economics. Prior to that, she held Assistant Professorship positions in Innovation Management at Newcastle University Business School, UK and Groningen University Business School, the Netherlands, and researcher positions at SPRU, Sussex University and the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.  She is a member of the UN-Economic Commission for Europe Expert Group on Innovation and Competitiveness Policies (since 2007), and a member of the Gender Advisory Board of the UN Commission for Science and Technology for Development (since the 1995 inception of the Board). She has extensive project management, having led or contributed to several projects funded by the  European Commission, UN Economic Commission for Europe, national and regional governments, international agencies, etc.
 
The company also includes as a Distinguished Research Fellow Prof. Henry Etzkowitz, a scholar of international reputation as the originator of the Triple Helix model of University-Industry-Government interactions  and the 'entrepreneurial university'  concept that highlights the new role of the University as a core institution of the Knowledge Society.
