Lee Woolgar holds a PhD. in Science and Technology Policy from the University of Manchester, UK. He is currently a Project Lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Tokyo. He has provided consultancy work for the European Commission, British FCO, and OECD. He has been Erawatch Country correspondent since 2005 and was Trendchart correspondent between 2006 and 2010.

His work has been published in reputable journals such as Research Policy, Prometheus, R&D Management, IJTTC, NISTEP Discussion papers, and RIETI Discussion papers.
